Lieberman to speak @ Republican Convention...

Let me try to be magnanimous about this: it's a free world. freedom of speech is what we hold dear.  If Joe Lieberman dearly, truly, believes in his gut that John McCain is the man for the job well then of course, if he's invited, how can he possibly say no to a speech at the GOP Convention in Minneapolis.  He has the right to choose.  (He actually supports the right to choose).

But hell.  Why do it as a democrat?  Why not kick him out of the party now? Why wait 'til November?  Do the democrats really need his one vote between now and then? Why the pretense?  If anyone can enlighten me ... tell me why it is that we need to let him caucus with the Democrats now, I would love to know, because it absolutely beats me.  And so, yet again, a link to Robert Greenwald's movement.  Get on it! Sign it! Put Joe Lieberman in the back of the truck and drive him on out of here.
