How many houses?

First of all I can't quite believe the gaffe. And I can't believe that McCain hasn't been asked that question before. How many houses do you own sir, when people across the country are struggling to hold on to one. (The house above, one of many in a rundown, dilapidated neighbourhood of Cleveland, OH, on a street lined with homes, shuttered, foreclosed and abandoned, a street where you wouldn't think anyone could live but would come across a home, ramshackle, where someone did find a way to exist, the value of their commodity i.e their house -- their one house -- stripped of it's value and so without any means to move on they are forced to stay, abandoned in an abandoned part of town.)
Second of all I can't quite believe the cheek. McCain's counterattack is galling. Rezko is such a catchy name. Too bad Obama's associations with him don't quite add up to McCain's associations with the Keating Five.
And third, well, hell I'm quite delighted by the gaffe and can already see it being used in a montage along with Phil Gramm's diagnosis that we are a "nation of whiners" caught in the throes of a "mental" recession. Bring it!
