Border Stories

From January 2016 to September 2018, I led the International Rescue Committee’s communications on refugee arrivals to Europe. During that time, I would seize any opportunity to spend time with refugees and asylum seekers whose lives had been torn apart by war, and who had come to Europe in search of safety, and the opportunity to build a new life here. From Lesvos to Idomeni, from Rome to Belgrade, these are some of their “border stories.”
