Warning: Dogs Bite

Pitbulls were the dog du jour in the neighborhoods we canvassed. And they had a fury on them for sure. The amount of days that started off, first door knock and a growling barking angry dog snarling on the other side of the door. It became habit to rattle the gate before entering a yard just in case there was a sleeping dog lying somewhere in wait. My good friend, Jimmy Brennan from Rhode Island, so funny, lived my moment of fear, entered a yard only to have a pitbull come flying around the corner. "fortunately," Jimmy said, "he was the friendly kind ... otherwise I would be dead." Apparently the trick is to show no fear. I don't think I know that trick.
