"No Vote is a Vote for John McCain ..."
The apartment complex on Wedgewood Road, the smell of Cat Urine, the smells of unpleasant things, the kinds of smells that should not surround you in the place where you call home.
A.J. the guy, lying on the coach playing video games, who told me that he was not going to vote for either.
A vote for neither is a vote for John McCain, you know that, I said
Then he says that his “sources” have told him that there have already been attempts on Barack Obama’s life. "I won’t vote for him," he says.
“I’ll only vote for Barack Obama if he says he will eliminate all credit owed by everyone across the country,” he continues, “all of the debt … and then we can start borrowing again.”
“Barack Obama will help you find the tools to acquire the skills to acquire the jobs that will allow you to live the lifestyle that you want,” I said.
“No, no No,” he says, “I’ve been looking for a job now – a decent well paying job – since ’04.” Sprawled out on the sofa.
“Really?” I asked, “what is your profession?”
“I’m a re-modeler, housing, anything …”
I’m thinking to myself, this guy needs a good shake. He needs to find another way to make a living. He is young, he is healthy, he is living for handouts. He’s lying on the sofa playing video games and saying he won’t vote for Barack Obama, the best chance this country has had in a long, long time because Barack Obama won’t eliminate his outstanding debts.
I am feeling hot, stifled, my scarf too tight around my neck.
I tell him good luck. Read up on Barack Obama I tell him. Read about his plans for the economy, for health care, education.
No vote is a vote for John McCain.
