Palin Power
"Palin is awful!" my friend shouted out the window as we were driving through St. Paul. He was drunk, it was after midnight, and he was crying out to any one passing although no-one passing seemed to pay him much mind.
We were the lonely ones in this crowd. Sarah Palin was a storming success last night on the floor of the Xcel Center in St. Paul. She "hit all the right notes," as I'm sure some one is going to write in their review of her performance. She was sassy, she was smart, she was charming, and of course, she is cute ... if you like a girl with glasses and that strange bouffant hairdo. Most of all though, she showed us that she has no qualms with negativity and low road campaigning and that she is absolutely familiar with the Republican Talking Points. She's the hockey mom, who for years has been venting about those darned liberals and their celebrity cronies in the comfort of her own home who now, suddenly, finds herself center stage with a mic in her hand and an audience that absolutely adores her.
Hillary Clinton is going to have to take her down.
